A well appointed LFL in a well appointed neighborhood! This library is nestled into a fantastic little water resistant garden in the front yard of a cute little home. It’s got a lovely bench to stop and read a bit in as well as nearby seating under the shade of a large tree. The selection of books seems well-curated and simply terrific. How could you not be envious? Though fading and painted a bit quirky, the library itself fits right in with it’s reclaimed wood and spacious interior. I’ll definitely be coming back to visit soon.

This may be one of the most lavish Little Free Library set ups I’ve come across. Located on a street corner in a quiet and lovely neighborhood, this LFL is nestled underneath a fabulous shade tree with an adjoining and comfortable bench. Just a few feet away at the corner of the property is a nice little decorative fountain just about the right height for a 5 year old. The library itself is well made and hand painted and lettered with cute decorations. The selection was a bit quirky and not heavily curated, but did have a few fantastic gems. I had the pleasure of visiting on a day with LA’s best weather of the year and the cool breezes made it a lovely oasis to stop and browse for a bit.

Though the front opening wasn’t the most convenient given it’s large size, the platform of the library did have two nice little wings on either side for setting down books (or perhaps one’s drink). The library was relatively spacious inside and definitely bright and fun. If you’re looking for a nice place to take a first date, this along with a small picnic on a nice afternoon could be a cool idea. It’s definitely a nice place to read, even if you bring your own book. I’ll certainly be back.
